Data in a RAID 0 array is striped or written across various different disks for a faster data transfer. It offers the best performance of all RAID systems, since the workload is balanced between each of the array members. The main disadvantage of a RAID 0 array is there is no fault - tolerance, thus if one drive fails then all data in the array is lost.
It is widely recommended that these RAID systems be installed with identical drives for performance as well as data storage efficiency. The RAID array data capacity is equal to the number of disk drives multiplied by the smallest drive capacity. For example, one 60GB and one 80GB drives will form a 120GB (60GBx2) disk array.
Fields Data Recovery offers the UK and Europe’s leading data recovery solution to lost data on these RAID systems, often returning data to customers within 24 Hours. For emergency assistance please call 0800 083 7891.
“I am not technical at all and was a bit wary of contacting a data recovery company when I lost all my work, but the staff at Fields really put me at ease. My files are now recovered and I am a very happy customer!”
