UK Bank
On ‘Black Friday’, the Friday before Christmas week (19/12/2003) 2003, we were contacted by a UK national bank to recover their list of customers transactions for the previous day (18/12/2003) that was lost due to a fault in the hard disk assembly (HDA). We performed a HDA transplant, recovered the critical data and returned it to the bank by Tuesday the next week. The bank was able to continue trading without any disruption or miss-accounting and without any customers suspecting that there had even been a problem with their accounts.
